Nazareth Pacheco

Nazareth Pacheco's work seeks to dis-alienate our self-image, which is built to a great extent on our image mirrored on the other's gaze. She forces us to rebuild ourselves as subjects of our own desires, the reference to instances of distress and torture - which, according to the artist, have occurred all along her work. There is no possible appeasement. Agony is associated with eroticism
