Born 1987 in Hiriyur, Karnataka, India. He did his B.F.A. from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore and M.F.A. from Central University in Hyderabad. Das’s artistic practice encompasses painting, performance, photography, sculpture, drawing and printmaking. His works alludes to sources as diverse as mythology, history and contemporary socio-political events to comment on the precariousness of human existence.
Das’s works has been widely shown internationally with Solo shown at the The Art House in the U.K., Sapporo Tenjinyama Art Studio in Japan and the Bamboo Curtain Studio in Taiwan. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards including the TAF Emerging South Asian Artist Award, INLAKS Fine Arts Award, FICA emerging artist award amongst others.
He currently lives and works between Mumbai and Bangalore, India
